50 Cent Being Sued For Leeking Sex Tape

The mother of Rick Ross’ daughter is suing 50 Cent for disseminating her private sex tape over the internet last year.

Lastonia Leviston processed her complaint yesterday (February 24) in Manhattan, alleging that 50 Cent used the tape without her permission, and has caused her to suffer “emotional distress.”

Last March, 50 Cent posted the video on his affiliate site www.boobootv.com as a form of psychological warfare with then rival Rick Ross.

The Queens mogul edited the 13-minute sex tape to include himself under his short-lived Pimpin’ Curly persona. As Curly, he hurled insults at Ross and Leviston, identified in the clip as “Brooke.”

My question is how did 50 get the tape in the first place?...Mr. C-Money$$$$

Nicki Minaj Explains Album Delay

"I've gotten great feedback from artists I look up to and never thought I'd work with," she explained in an interview. "They're already in line to be on the project. But it's like, 'Do I want to put out a debut album with a thousand features on it or do I wanna finally showcase Nicki?' I'm not worried about features at all...With the album, I think it's more important that people get accustomed to seeing a female rapper again. Before I drop an album, people need to come out and see. People don't even know what a female rapper does. We're so not used to seeing it. It's nonexistent in categories. We don't get nominated. I need to work [the people] up to accepting a female rapper again and accepting my style and all of that -- then the album will come. Honestly, I'd love to put an album out this year, but I don't believe in rushing things either." (MTV)

Shyne Signing to Def Jam?

Miss Info Reports: Multiple sources have confirmed to me that Shyne Po has signed a 7-figure deal with Def Jam.* This ends a bidding war that had industry bigwigs vying for Shyne's attention, flying to Belize, calling and courting, ever since the Brooklyn emcee was released from prison and deported to Belize back in October. As for the logistics, the plan is forShyne to work out of London, it's a buzzing hip hop hub with all the necessary facilities. Oh, and about that first verse which appeared on an early DJ Khaled album leak (and is allegedly scratched from the final tracklisting)...I'm hearing that Shyne didn't intend that verse to be his first look. After nearly a decade inside, he's allowed a little time to figure out what direction he'll take. (Miss Info TV)

Birdman Defends Lil Wayne Against Ghost Writing Rumors

Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman has defended his artist Lil Wayne in light of being scolded in the past for allegedly having other writers pen his raps. According to the rap mogul, Wayne's material strictly comes from the rapper's own mind.
"C'mon, man," Baby said when asked if Drake writes for the rapper. "Wayne don't even write, man. Honestly Wayne don't write. I don't know how he do that sh*t he do, but don't no n*gga do it for him. Wayne don't play that shit, he never did. We ain't with that sh*t. That's cheatin' to me, when you're trying to be great. When you're just an artist that wants a hot record, that's something different, but when you're trying to be great you ain't bout to let no n*gga write for you, cause you don't wanna lose none of the credit. Wayne wants to be the best to ever do it. To be the greatest ever takes your skillful thoughts, not another person's." (Ozone Magazine)

Dr. Dre Not Getting Royalties From The Cronic Album

Dr. Dre claims it's been 14 years since he's seen a penny from his game changing record, "The Chronic" -- and he's belatedly waging a war against the new Death Row Records. Why you ask would the good Dr. wait so long? We're guessing there's a fear factor that has evaporated since Suge Knight is out of the picture. Dre filed the federal lawsuit against WIDEawake Death Row -- which was created after Death Row filed for bankruptcy last year. In the lawsuit, Dre claims he stopped getting checks from the label after he cut and ran in '96. Dre says the new Death Row has been making lots of money by selling digital copies of "Chronic," "Chronic Re-Lit" and his greatest hits album without permission. Dre is suing for $75,000 minimum.(TMZ)

Lil Wayne's Jail Sentence Posponed Due To Scheduled Dental Surgery

Earlier this week we speculated that the dental surgery keeping Lil Wayne from jail for another few weeks was the removal of his famous diamond grills. We just got off the phone with Wayne's lawyer, Stacey Richman, however, and while she doesn't know what exactly the procedure is ("I'm not a dentist. I went to law school"), she assures us the grills aren't going anywhere. Also, apparently the reason things didn't get done before the scheduled sentencing on Tuesday is that Wayne's dentist recently had to go on a last-minute charity mission to Nicaragua. When asked if she expects any other postponements in the case, Richman replied, "Barring some sort of tsunami, no, but it's happened in New Orleans before, so who knows." Lil Wayne's lawyer: almost as irreverently entertaining as he is! (NY Mag)

Joe Budden Responds To Tahiry's "Wife Beater" Comment

During an interview with Angela Yee, Budden spoke on the physical confrontation after catching Tahiry cheating.

“I mushed the shit out of her fucking ass. And I think she was asking to get mushed. She was dead caught cheating and I was fresh off tour and I was like ‘What's up? You're caught, you're busted.'”

Known as a storyteller, of course the rapper was willing to give a short tale.

“She was wilin. I'm big on body language. You know, when you're with somebody for so long. You know them. So I came home and she was wilin' and she drinks every night. She needs an AA meeting probably. She was drunk, she was wilin, big argument, then I found out she was cheating when she went to sleep.

It led to where the evidence was laying next her on the bed clear as day…She didn't wanna come clean. She was going and then said something so outrageous to me. She said ‘Tell me what you know' and she got her fucking face mushed all the way to the other side of the room.”

Once Again Hip Hop Gets No Love At The Grammys

Last night at the 2010 Grammy Awards not one rap catagorie was televised. I'm not really suprised as they never really do. Which is the reason I don't watch the grammys.

Fabolous reacts to grammys via Twitter.
"At the Grammys.. Thanx 2 everyone who supported me & Loso's Way.. Wish me luck 2 bring home this grammy 2nite!! Why don't the Hip hop/rap catorgies get televised??
